Let us not forget today the importance of responsible and qualified teachers. We are BTDA certified which means our extensive training and experience is second to none in dance. We spend many years gaining the experience and teaching skills to be able to proudly say that we are qualified. We have a qualified teacher in every room and also teaching assistants. Our staff are CRB checked and regularly guided by the British Theatre Dance Assocation.

Emma Castle – Principal


Principal, Emma Castle started training at Villanueve from the age of 3yrs until 16yrs, training with British Theatre Dance Association and Royal Academy of Dance. She continued training at Arts Educational, with an additional three years at Leicester College of Performing Arts where she graduated as a professional dancer. Emma then went on to work with Carnival Cruise Lines Ships all around the world. She has also worked with Gabrielle on soul music and numerous international-touring shows. She then decided to help others enjoy the passion and love for dance and has been teaching since 2006 starting Emma Castle Performing Arts in September 2011. The schools first show was an ambitious stage at the Lighthouse in Poole, to which they were commended by the staff for the most professional amateur performance and attained fantastic feedback from critics and admirers. Emmas main love of dance is derived from the traditional styles of Ballet, Tap and Jazz.

Miss Amanda – Singing & Drama Teacher.

Amanda Chennell has been coaching singing for 10 years. Amanda trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London on a singing scholarship. On leaving drama college Amanda went straight into the West End into Out Of The Blue’ at The Shaftesbury Theatre. After that came almost two years in ‘Les Miserables’ at The Palace Theatre where she covered and played Eponine. Whilst in ‘Les Mis’ she appeared in the 10th Anniversary Concert’ at The Royal Albert Hall.

One of Amanda’s great strengths in her teaching is being able to use her vast experience as a performer to help coach her students, whether they are beginners or professionals. Her main focus is on technique and performance through song.
Amanda has taught all ages and abilities. Past students include children with learning difficulties, adults who want to try something new and students preparing for Drama college auditions.
Amanda specialises in Audition prep and has coached students who have successfully gained places at top London drama colleges.

Miss Jess – Teacher, Street & Contemporary.


Jess has been teaching Street and Contemporary as a passion for over 4 years. She has come from teaching background and has a passion for helping others. She has danced from the age of 3 and studied her teaching qualifications at the age of 18.
Jess has fantastic ability and a real love of Contemporary Lyrical Dance. Her classes are very bubbly and she teaches with a lively and up beat nature.

Miss Bryony – Assistant Teacher.


Bryony has been with the school for 3 years. She started dancing at the age of 3 and has shown her passion for dance throughout her youth. She is working on the BTDA Teacher Training course along side Miss Emma.

Bryony is very approachable and a superb role model for the younger students. She has fantastic teaching potential and is a real asset to the school as well as being a very technical and dedicated dancer with huge ability.

Miss Kate – Teacher, Foundation Classes.


Kate has been assisting in teaching the School Seniors for the past 12 months. She trained with Miss Emma at Villanueva and has been teaching since passing her teaching qualifications soon after. She has over 15 years experience in teaching Dance and is a fantastic asset to the school helping to drive the Seniors focus and technique.
