Learning to tap dance is an energetic and auricular experience! It encourages the development of strength, rhythm and coordination.
The realisation that the body can produce its own musical accompaniment is captivating. As with Ballet and Modern Jazz, syllabus is covered by the British Theatre Dance Association and opportunities for progression are available through graded examinations, medals and show work.
Tap classes for all children are paid termly and the BTDA uniform should be worn. Hair should be in a bun and tap shoes worn.
Adult Tap classes are for all ages and abilities. Within the class we have a range of teachers covering advancing and new tap enthusiasts. Classes are paid weekly at and we work on fun routines and show work. Our last show had 20 adult tappers up to the age of 78 so you are never too old to have fun! It is a fun form of fitness and beginners classes make it easy to learn something new no matter what age.
